Spectrum Controls Announces the Transition of InView Message Displays from Rockwell Automation to Spectrum Controls

January 9, 2012 – Bellevue, WA – Spectrum Controls, a Rockwell Automation Global Encompass Partner, is pleased to announce the transition of Rockwell’s InView industrial message displays to the Spectrum Controls brand name, effective January 2012. InView displays are used to convey real-time information on factory floors or other industrial environments, with messages viewable up to 450 feet away, depending on the model.

“InView customers can expect the same functionality, compatibility and support that they have always experienced,” said Bruce Wanta, president of Spectrum Controls. “These products will continue to be available through the Rockwell distribution network and supported by Rockwell’s TechConnect program, ensuring the same quality and reliability our customers expect. We also envision forthcoming enhancements and updates to the InView product line over time to keep up with the needs of our customers and the marketplace at large.” InView message displays will continue to use Rockwell licensed technology, ensuring optimal integration with other Rockwell Automation equipment and networks.

Rockwell Automation has transitioned other product lines to Spectrum Controls in the past, so minimal impacts to the delivery chain are anticipated. As always, customers will be able to place orders through their Rockwell Automation distributor. As with Spectrum Controls’ I/O products, Rockwell Automation’s TechConnect team will handle technical support, with additional support resources from Spectrum Controls when needed. To help existing customers manage the transition timeline, Rockwell Automation will continue to offer InView for sale through October 2012, after which Spectrum Controls will exclusively ship InView products. Rockwell Automation will honor warranties on Rockwell branded InViews for their normal warranty period and provide repair support for up to five years after discontinuing sales.

InView displays are used to convey real-time information on factory floors or other industrial environments, with messages viewable up to 450 feet away, depending on the model. InView message displays are available in a variety of sizes and offer varying display lines, character sizes, message colors, fonts and messaging effects. The displays can be integrated with existing communication networks including Ethernet/IP, ControlNet and DeviceNet. Messages can be triggered via programmable logic controllers and programmable automation controllers.
