Spectrum Controls Announces Simplified Distributor Pricing and Price Increases on DTAM/SOI Products and Some SLC-500 I/O Modules.

October 25, 2006—Issaquah, Washington—Spectrum Controls, Inc., a leading manufacturer of hardware and software for the industrial controls marketplace, has realigned is pricing model to its distributors. Effective immediately, Spectrum Controls will offer one standard distributor cost to all distributors, for all products. This eliminates the previous distinction between “platinum” and “gold” pricing. According to Joe North, Director of Sales and Marketing for Spectrum Controls, “Our new model more accurately reflects how we work with our distributors, and eliminates the complication of multi-tiered pricing structures.”

Also, Spectrum Controls has announced price increases in three areas. Effective immediately, prices on all DTAM and SOI user interfaces will increase by 10%. However, for any outstanding price quotes, purchasers will be entitled to the original, lower price for 30 days from when the quote was issued. Effective December 15th, 2006, Spectrum Controls will raise the price of all 1746 (SLC 500) input/output modules by 5%, with the exception of the 1756sc-IF8u universal module, which will stay at its current price. Finally, Spectrum Controls’ offering of Sy/Max modules is in an “end of life” cycle. Therefore, effective immediately, the new distribution cost is the equivalent of the old “gold” pricing, raising the end-user price by approximately 15%.
