This module is designed specifically for use with the Allen-Bradley CompactLogix and MicroLogix 1500 platforms. The release of the 1769sc-IF8u is scheduled for November 2003 and will be featured at the Allen-Bradley Automation Fair 100th Anniversary on November 18-20 in Milwaukee, WI. The 1769sc-IF8u Universal Input Module is the preferred solution for high density and mixed analog input applications. This eight channel analog input module accepts eight current, voltage, resistance, thermocouple and four RTD inputs. Signal types may be mixed and matched to accommodate various applications. The 1769sc-IF8u offers channel update rates comparable to dedicated analog modules—with higher accuracy and resolution. The 1769sc-IF8u supports more than 28 input types including most major thermocouple and RTD configurations. All data is fully linearized and available in user-selectable engineering units. Module configuration is convenient and easy to accomplish using existing RSLogix™ programming software.
